It is worth noting that Pakistan has been heavily struck by climate change, with persistent monsoon rains followed by floods. More than 33 million people have been displaced as a result of the flood, and they are forced to live under the open sky with little to no assistance. The government and private non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are working in the affected areas to provide help. However, the government anticipates a lengthier recovery time due to the wide-spread extent of the damage inflicted by the disaster.
