Faisalabad: Pakistan Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid has announced to launch a goods train for the traders and industrialists of Faisalabad, a news source reported. He also made a demand for an advance 10-day rent for this purpose.

Commenting on the progress of his department, Rashid said that Pakistan can work on doubling the number of its existing railway tracks. He added that the government needs to release the appropriate funds to the ministry to facilitate this end.
He said that Pakistan is set for operating the world’s most expensive Orange Train. Meanwhile, the ministry has already repaired twenty old trains, and put them back on the tracks.

Rashid, while talking to the media and businessmen, also informed about the construction of an LM-1 track. This track will support train speeds of up to 260 kilometres per hour.
The minister particularly praised the business community for its support of the decisions taken by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, and Finance Minister Asad Umer.
