Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has confiscated four truckloads of goods from different markets in its operation against encroachments, according to a news report. Shopkeepers in several areas were fined as well.
RCB staff has been conducting an anti-encroachment operation under the orders of the Cantonment Executive Officer to make areas under Cantonment Board encroachment-free. Handcarts, tables, counters, tyres, and other encroachments were confiscated from Bakra Mandi, People’s Colony, Kashmir Road, and other areas.
The operation is being conducted on a daily basis to remove all temporary and permanent encroachments, and shopkeepers have been warned about strict action against encroachments on roadsides.
