Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a noteworthy decline on Wednesday, driven by the resolute recovery of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) against the US dollar (USD) in the open market, claimed a news source on September 6.

The information shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-carat gold fell by PKR 10,500 per tola to settle at PKR 222,300, and PKR 9,002 per 10 grams to settle at PKR 190,586.
Besides this, the price of gold dipped by USD 9, settling at USD 1,931 per ounce in the international market today. The price of 24-karat silver saw a decline of PKR 100 per tola and PKR 85.74 per 10 grams, settling at PKR 2,800 and PKR 2,400.5, respectively.

When it comes to the Pakistani rupee, the Forex Association of Pakistan reported a gain of PKR 11 closing at PKR 312 in the open market. In the interbank market, PKR gained 13 paisa against USD, reaching PKR 306.98 from the previous close of PKR 307.10.
