Gujranwala: Commissioner Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah has directed Gujranwala Metropolitan Corporation (GMC) Chief Officer Amjad Dhillon to digitise all department records, including details on buildings, building plan fees and licensing fees – according to a news source.

Following the issuance of the directives, the GMC chief officer proceeded to assign a series of tasks to the officials concerned. For this purpose, a one-window cell has also been set up at the GMC office to ensure the transfer of the building fees record to an online framework.
In addition, the Gujranwala commissioner also announced that the process of issuance of tenders would be made more transparent through further scrutiny. He also said that his office would adopt a zero-tolerance policy to curb corruption.

Speaking to the media, GMC Chief Officer Dhillon said that the purpose of moving the property record online is to ensure transparency in the online payments process for fee submissions under various heads.
