Islamabad: Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed on Sunday (October 3) stated that the Gilgit-Baltistan-Chitral Highway project was approved by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for the promotion of tourism, media sources reported.

As per the details, the construction work on Gilgit-Baltistan-Chitral Highway will commence by December 2021. It was mentioned that Gilgit-Baltistan was the gateway to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which guaranteed the development of the region. He went on to say that the project will not only boost tourism in the province, but it will also promote economic activities.
Furthermore, the minister disclosed that three projects will be launched in Chitral by the end of this year. He also mentioned that National Highway Authority (NHA) will complete the projects in a transparent and fast manner.

Moreover, Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad also mentioned that the construction work in Jaglot-Skardu Road will be completed by the end of this month. He went on to say that the construction work on the road is expedited for faster completion.
