Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Arif Ali Abbasi on Wednesday said that the Ghazi Barotha, Ring Road, and Leh Expressway projects for the twin cities would be completed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis – a news source reported.
He expressed his views on the matter during a press briefing held in the RDA Committee Room. He revealed that for the first time, RDA had made PKR 20 million recoveries – a figure that is in excess of the target set for the last financial year.

The authority also saved PKR 90 million in expenditures during 2018-19.
Moreover, he said that the authority would redraft the 20-year master plan for the city. To facilitate this measure, the Punjab government recently approved the terms of reference (ToR) of the said blueprint.
He said that the executive had allocated funds worth PKR 50 million for the construction of three pedestrian bridges on the Airport Road where 46 people had met with an accident.
