Peshawar: The German government has offered to help the Peshawar Capital Metropolitan Government to improve civic services, according to news published on November 2.

During a meeting, German Ambassador Alfred Grannas assured support for the beautification of Peshawar, provision of facilities in electric and hybrid vehicles, social services, services for special people, and upgradation of educational institutions.

Moreover, Germany will provide support in drug rehabilitation centres, traffic management, and pollution control. The ambassador also discussed future projects Germany intends to undertake in Pakistan. He went on to say that Germany will work to improve local government, health, and education sectors. Peshawar Capital Metropolitan Government Mayor Zubair Ali mentioned that the transfer of expertise and other support from Germany will strengthen the local government system.
