Gujranwala: Gujranwala division’s 389,830 public and private consumers owe the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) PKR 2.19 billion, a news source reported. Notices of PKR 478 million have been issued to public institutions, while private consumers have been sent notices of PKR 1.72 billion.
The GEPCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zahid Saleem has directed officials of all circles to complete 100% recovery by 31st August. Last month, GEPCO had sent bills worth more PKR 10 billion to 3.3 million consumers, out of which more than 380,000 hadn’t paid their bills. Efforts are now being made to recover that amount.
