Abbottabad: The Galyat Development Authority (GDA) on Wednesday provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to the paramedical staff and doctors working at the Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), according to news sources.

During the ceremony, Director General (DG) GDA Raza Habeeb addressed the attendees, and said that the supplies had been provided to the hospital in response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases. He said that the provision of precautionary supplies for the hospital staff was the need of the hour and further lauded the efforts of medical practitioners for being at the frontline of the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

The DG GDA also iterated his resolve to support the doctors till the end of the global pandemic, in order to save people from the threat posed by the virus.
Reportedly, the PPE kits encompassed masks, hand sanitizer’s, gloves, glasses, safety suites for healthcare professionals and workers treating coronavirus patients. Medical Director ATH Dr Ahsan Aurangzeb took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the GDA for its support and supplies.
