Gwadar: The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) held a meeting on Friday (January 14) to discuss the development and improvement of the Gwadar Old City Master Plan, news sources reported. The meeting discussed the suggestions and the improvement plan including the preservation of old heritage sites of the city.

According to the news, GDA Director-General Mujeebur Rehman Qambrani stated that the new master plan involves the construction of roads, parks, as well as the improvement of the city’s existing hospitals, schools, and sewage and drainage system. Similarly, steps will be taken to conserve the historical relevance of Shahi Bazar, Jannat Bazar, and Old Bazaar in order to bring more tourism to the city. It was also said that Gwadar is on its way to becoming Pakistan’s future economic hub, which necessitates improved infrastructure for the city. The meeting also addressed the city’s challenges during the recent rainstorm. Senior government officials, political and social leaders, and members from the fishing community also attended the conference.
