The news source mentioned that the GDA officials announced on Tuesday that they are taking decisive action against the land mafia engaging in unlawful activities within the city. In response to public complaints, a crackdown has been initiated in Dhor Ghati and other areas.
The authority is following the directives of its Director-General Dawood Khilji in serving legal notices to the owners of these illegal housing schemes. Additionally, the district administration has been instructed to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the violators. The district administration is also directed to halt land mutation for properties not approved by the authority.
To facilitate transparency and protect the public, the GDA has posted a list of genuine housing schemes on its website. The public is urged to verify the authenticity of any schemes through the authority before entering into agreements with the scheme owners. The list on the authority’s website is regularly updated and includes schemes that have obtained the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC) and complied with all GDA regulations.
