The developers of illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions cause revenue loss to the authority by not applying for an NOC. According to the standard rules, no developer is allowed to sell land without procuring a formal approval certificate from the competent authority. The practice also causes a loss of hundreds of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.
