Mansehra: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Population Ahmad Hussain Shah on Tuesday (July 20) inaugurated the Garlat-Jabbah Bangian Road that connects Balakot Town to plenty of villages, according to news sources.

Garlat-Jabbah Bangian road was devastated by the 2005 earthquake, causing people to have difficulty commuting. According to Ahmad Hussain Shah, the administration has tried to improve remote areas and villages in the province in order to minimise migration to cities and mega cities.
Moreover, the special assistant also talked about the New Balakot City Housing Project. He mentioned that a 12-member committee would handle the processes for distribution of plots to families residing in the red zone in prefabricated houses, as directed by Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.

In addition, the special assistant stated that the government has undertaken many development projects in Kaghan Valley in order to encourage tourism. The tourism industry has enormous potential for the people of Balakot Tehsil and Hazara division. When the sector develops, there will be plenty of job opportunities.
