Islamabad: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari has said that the completion of development work of Sector G-9 Markaz is his top priority task, and he will raise the issue with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), news sources reported on February 7.

Bakhtawari made the remarks during the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected office bearers of the G-9 Markaz Traders Welfare Association. He stated that he has brought the tax-related issues to the attention of the CDA and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in order to resolve them as soon as possible. The president emphasized that he recently met with CDA representatives and discussed issues pertaining to road rehabilitation, parking plaza construction, footpath repairs, filtration plant installation, and streetlight restoration. He added that the land for the parking plaza is already identified and that work on the project will start soon.

It is important to note that the G-9 market is one of the biggest markets after the Blue Area. Recently, CDA announced a comprehensive zoning plan for the city, regularising land in the city and designating specific residential and commercial areas.
