Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Engineering Wing has asked the Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) to complete the remaining work on Margalla Road, a news source reported on March 29.

The news source mentioned that CDA asked FWO – the contractor for constructing Margalla Road, from GT Road to D-12 – to install road signage and cat eyes and complete some asphalt work on Margalla Road. The civic agency has requested the contractor to improve the quality of the said road and complete lane marking, signage, and construction of the road.

Moreover, the city managers have asked FWO to complete the work of Shah Allah Ditta Underpass approach roads, retaining walls, drainage work, cleaning of drains, and tourism and historical signage. It is pertinent to note that the 10.4-kilometre-long Margalla Road project, from GT Road to D-12, was opened to traffic 2 months ago. However, the fencing of the road has yet to be started.
