Landi Kotal: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa cabinet on Thursday approved to release annual development funds worth PKR 24 billion – a news source reported.
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan presided over a meeting of the cabinet, which met for the first time in Khyber district since the FATA merger. Provincial ministers, secretaries and deputy commissioners were all present at the occasion.

Sharing the details, Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that the cabinet decided to expedite work on the development projects for the tribal districts. He added that the residents will be provided all civic amenities in these districts.
All deputy commissioners were directed to identify sites for the construction of sports stadiums. They were also asked to ensure provision of basic municipal facilities in all 26 tehsils of erstwhile FATA.

The provincial government would launch an initiative to provide vocational and technical training to at least 2,000 youth. Moreover, solar panels will be installed in 300 mosques in the seven tribal districts that now form part of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
