Islamabad: An amount of over PKR 10.56 billion has been collected for dam construction under the Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Fund for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams, according to a news source.
Local Pakistanis accounted for PKR 8.97 billion out of this total amount, while overseas Pakistanis contributed PKR 1.59 billion to the fund. This information was revealed in an update issued by the State Bank regarding the fund.

Among overseas Pakistanis, the largest chunk contributed was from the US, with PKR 564.81 million collected. This was followed by the UK, with PKR 388.69 million. The fund also received PKR 146.32 million through SMS cellular services. The top contributors are the employees of the government of Punjab with PKR 1.09 billion, Pakistan Army with a contribution of PKR 582.071 million, HQ CWO SPD with PKR 201.093 million, Bahria Town at PKR 110.12 million, and PAF with PKR 100.28 million.
