Lahore: Axiom Bank, China has released funds worth PKR 1.78 billion for the Orange Line Metro Train project, according to a news source. The funds have been issued to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority and the cheque is in the name of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General.
According to details, the funds have been issued for development work that will be initiated in four packages, while the LDA had claimed a bill of PKR 4 billion. With funds granted by the Axiom Bank, the LDA will make the payments to the contractors engaged in all four packages of the project.
