Rawalpindi: The government has decided to issue funds for more than 170 pending development schemes in the garrison city – a news source reported.
The schemes in question had remained in a stayed condition for nine months. The previous government had initiated these schemes at a cost of worth over PKR 3 billion.
It is pertinent to mention that the schemes were halted in April last year. These included maintenance and up-gradation of roads, sanitation and electricity supplies.

PDWP sanctioned the schemes during its 12th meeting, which was presided over by P&D Board Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani. P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo and other concerned officials were all present at the occasion.
