Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved funds worth PKR 6.52 billion for five development schemes – a news source reported.

PDWP sanctioned the schemes during its 16th meeting, which was presided over by P&D Board Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani. P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, as well as other concerned officials, were all present at the occasion.
The schemes include a teachers’ training programme initiative, for which PKR 550.343 million have been allocated. Similarly, a third party evaluation of literacy interventions has been approved at a cost of PKR 26.795 million.
Moreover, PDWP approved an energy conservation project at a cost of PKR 1,205.150 million. It also sanctioned funds worth PKR 3,202.07 million for developing a water drainage system.

The provincial agency approved a citizen facilitation scheme at a cost of PKR 1,537.356 million. Under this initiative, an e-khidmat markaz will be established.
