Islamabad: The government has released a total of PKR 14.252 billion under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the implementation of 113 different projects to ensure the availability of affordable residential facilities, a news source reported on February 17.

As per the details, a total of PKR 3.191 billion funds has been utilised for the housing projects during the seven months (July-January). The news source revealed the released funds include PKR 12.273 billion for 107 ongoing projects and PKR 1.711 billion for six new schemes. It was shared that PKR 523 million has been earmarked for the construction and rehabilitation of roads in Hyderabad city. Moreover, an additional PKR 486 million has been reserved for the construction of steel roads in different areas of District Bahawalpur.

Reportedly, the government has allocated PKR 1 billion for the rehabilitation and construction of roads in SITE Industrial Estate in Karachi; PKR 250 million for the construction of a carpeted road in District Gujranwala and PKR 239.875 million has been reserved for the balance of liabilities of 2018.
