Karak: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released funds worth PKR 380 million for several development projects in Karak, a news source quoted the new District President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Azmat Khattak as saying. The provincial executive provided its approval to the disbursement; which is expected to be secured from the oil and gas royalty funds allocated for KP.

Khattak, during a press briefing held on Thursday, said that the provincial government would soon release more funds for different development projects in the district.
Earlier, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel stated that KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan had provided his approval to the release of royalty funds for the Kohat division. He added that the CM had pledged to launch additional mega uplift projects in the division with the royalty funds.

Further, Khattak revealed that the provincial government planned to bring on ideological workers for other positions in the cabinet. He added that these workers would have a say in the development schemes planned for Karak district.
