Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has approved PKR 8 billion for the reconstruction of six main roads in Murree and launched development work on the project, according to news published in the leading newspaper on November 28.

A senior official of the district administration (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the project will make the movement of traffic smooth. The following are the details of the roads to be reconstructed:
- PKR 1.51 billion for Kalar Dhan Gali Road
- PKR 1.11 billion for Rawalpindi-Kahuta Jeora Road
- PKR 1.63 billion for Jeora-Panjar to Panjar-Nar Road
- PKR 1.23 billion for Rawalpindi to Lehtrar Kotli Sattian Road
- PKR 1.2 billion Murree Expressway Bastal Mor, Lawrence College Bansra Gali and Gali Barian
- PKR 1.9 billion for Chirah Chowk to Taban via Karor Road

Moreover, the provincial government has started reconstruction work on these roads in Murree and surrounding areas. The government has released the funds for the reconstruction of roads and asked the district administration to ensure quality work.
