Islamabad: In the budget of 2018-2019, an amount of PKR 200 million has been allocated for the establishment of Smart Schools in Islamabad, according to a news report. The project is aimed at transforming public institutions through the addition of the latest facilities.
According to an official from the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), the idea for upgrading educational facilities in 32 public education institutions was conceived by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Reforms, and was a major step towards first goal of Vision 2025 as a part of Prime Minister Education Reforms Programme. This couldn’t be followed through because of administrative changes, but is expected to now take firm roots with this recent allocation.
