Rawalpindi: The Government of Punjab has issued funds worth PKR 50 million for Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation’s water supply and sewerage projects, reported a news source. The project is underway in eight union councils of the city.
The Government of Punjab had previously issued PKR 50 million for this project, while the project is estimated to cost PKR 190 million. So far, work on laying sewerage and water supply lines in these 8 union councils has been completed by 70%.
Most of the work on laying water and sewerage line in Union Councils No. 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 has been completed. The funds issued lately will be used for making pending payments to the contractors engaged for this project.
