Islamabad: Ministry of Planning, Development & Reforms has issued funds worth PKR 30.57 billion for National Highway Authority, reported a news source. Out of the allocated funds, PKR 510 million will be utilised for the construction of Lahore Ring Road (LRR)-II project.
The issued funds are to be utilised for development of projects that have been or will be launched during the current fiscal year. Some of the more prominent of these projects include the construction of Karakoram Highway (KKH) Phase II, the Metro Bus connecting Peshawar Morr with Islamabad International Airport, LRR-II, Peshawar Northern Bypass, and Lahore-Multan Motorway.
According to the statistics issued by the Planning Commission, PKR 510 million is to be used for the construction of LRR-II, PKR 120 million for Burhan-Havelian Expressway, PKR 500 million each for KKH-II and Islamabad Metro bus, PKR 8.13 billion for Lahore-Multan Motorway, PKR 400 million for upgradation of Jaglot-Skardu Road, and PKR 700 million for the construction of Peshawar Northern Bypass.
