Faisalabad: The Government of Punjab has issued funds worth PKR 50 million for the construction of a sports complex in Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) City, reported a news source. In this regard, the Faisalabad Development Authority has also issued a work order for the project, instructing a private firm to initiated development work in two weeks.
According to estimates, the project will have a construction cost of PKR 500 million, while the government has issued PKR 50 million for the first phase of development. The private firm hired for the project is bound by contract to deliver the sports complex by December 2018.
The project was approved Punjab Planning and Development Department in January this year.
The project will span 27 kanals of land and it will have separate swimming pools for males and females, courts for squash, badminton, basketball, and table tennis, a gymnasium, and a children’s play area.
