Faisalabad: The Punjab government recently issued funds worth PKR 522 million for the expansion and rehabilitation of six major roads in the city — according to a news source.

Reportedly, the funds have been divided as follows:
- PKR 172 million have been issued for carpeting Jhang Road from Paras Campus to Chenab Chowk
- PKR 202 million have been issued for carpeting Sargodha Road from Kamalpur Interchange to Chenab Club Chowk via General Bus Stand
- PKR 61 million have been issued for carpeting Jaranwala Road
- PKR 22 million have been issued for carpeting Satiana Road
- PKR 50 million have been issued for carpeting Samundari Road
- PKR 15 million have been issued for carpeting Chak Jhumra Road

As per the information available, the development and rehabilitation work on these roads will begin soon; particularly because Jaranwala Road and Chak Jhumra Road have been causing difficulties for commuters and are in dire need of repairs.
