Nawabshah: The Federal government has released PKR 14 billion for the construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) project, according to news published on Sunday (October 31).

Shaheed Benazirabad Division Commissioner Syed Mohsin Ali Shah, while chairing a meeting related to land acquisition for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway project, stated that construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6) will pave the way for a new era of development in the area. He went on to say that all possible cooperation will be extended to National Highway Authority (NHA) for the project’s execution. This road infrastructure will provide better transport facilities along with generating new job opportunities. The commissioner also stated that a mechanism will be devised for prompt payments to landowners.
Moreover, National Highway General Manager Sham Sundar reported that the construction work on the project will be completed according to the working paper, which was prepared during 2015-2016. He stated the locals of Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Khairpur, Matiari, and Naushahro Feroze districts will greatly benefit from this motorway.

It is pertinent to mention that it is a 306-kilometre long Motorway that will encompass six lanes. For supervision of construction, eight assistant directors and five deputy directors have been appointed.
