Peshawar: While addressing a delegation of of Kohat headed by Kashmir Committee Chairman Sheryar Afridi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan announced that funds for development in Kohat district will be released after Eid, according to news sources.

CM Khan added that the release of funds will ensure timely completion of developmental projects in the district. Moreover, he directed the Board of Revenue (BoR) to take necessary steps for acquisition of land required for the construction of Togh Bala grid station in Kohat. The delegation also discussed all matters related to ongoing development projects in Kohat and the issues faced by public. He also briefed the delegation about ongoing work on extending gas facilities to different localities of Kohat district.

While talking about the southern districts of KP, Mahmood Khan informed the delegation about the initiatives being taken to ensure availability of doctors, allied medical staff and equipment. He also added that all matters related to the KP’s southern districts will be resolved so people can have access to basic amenities, such as clean drinking water and health. Mahmood Khan said the KP government had identified around 350 schemes in Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Tank, Lakki Marwat and other areas to resolve the issue of clean drinking water.
