Rawalpindi: The provincial authorities on Tuesday approved funds for the rehabilitation of the Jhika Gali Road and other uplift schemes in Murree — according to a news source. A total of PKR 35 million have been approved for these initiatives.

Reportedly, funds worth PKR 4.7 million have been approved for the rehabilitation of a park in Lower Jhika Gali, while PKR 6.5 million have been approved for the rehabilitation and construction of the Central Jhika Gali Road. A large tank for water will also be constructed at a cost of PKR 3.25 million, which will have a capacity of nearly 25,000 gallons. PKR 1.5 million has also been allocated for the repair and construction of other water supply schemes.

Finally, PKR 0.5 million has been allocated for the maintenance of streetlights at the hill station. All these projects have been approved and their tenders have already been floated.
