Lahore: The Punjab government has approved the development of a number of sewerage and road projects in the city, a news source reported. These approvals came during a recent meeting held to review the progress of several developmental schemes under the Community Development Programme.

The meeting was chaired by Lahore Division Commissioner Asif Bilal Lodhi. The session gave its approval for the construction and rehabilitation of roads in Nankana City, at a cost of PKR 153 million. The commissioner directed the relevant officials to ensure that the process of marking would be carried out following the rehabilitation of the roads.
Additionally, officials approved a Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) scheme for the provision of a drench system along the Kainchi area and Lawrence Road.
During the meeting, officials concerned also approved the following projects:
- WASA sewerage scheme for Ichra Mor and Sultan Ahmad Road, Ichra
- Installation of tube well in Union Councils (UCs) 220,221, 222 of Johar Town

Commissioner Lodhi added that all authorities concerned should complete the development work on time and ensure that a high level of quality is maintained through the entire process.
