Mansehra: The federal government has approved PKR 2 billion for Potha Interchange that will connect Hazara Motorway with Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway, according to news published in the national dailies on December 20.

The news source revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has approved PKR 2 billion for the construction of the Potha Interchange. The premier has already approved Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway which will link Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). It was mentioned that the Badra Interchange connected the Hazara Motorway with Karakoram Highway and Mansehra city but it is away from Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway.
Former MNA (retired) Captain Mohammad Safdar stated that the residents of Mansehra City and surrounding areas had to use Qalandarbad Interchange through Karakoram Highway to reach Hazara Motorway. The construction of the Potha Interchange will decrease travel time.

As per the details, the Hazara Motorway will be connected to Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway through Barari and will pass through the Bakrial area. The news source revealed that the PM will visit the district soon to inaugurate the Mansehra-Muzaffarabad Motorway and Potha Interchange projects and the largest grid station in Asia.
