Lahore: A sum of PKR 170 million has been approved for the construction of wastewater treatment plants in the city, according to a news report.
New paperwork is being prepared for the projects – due for development in Shad Bagh, Mehmood Booti, and Babu Sabu. The required funds have been released for this task. The paperwork will include new design details, PC-1, and documents related to the tendering of the mega-project.

The decisions were taken in the 13th meeting of the provincial Planning & Development (P&D) Department’s Development Working Party. The session was headed by Chairman P&D. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, department members, and other high officials also attended the meeting.
A total figure of PKR 1.15 billion was approved for two development schemes in different sectors. Funds were also approved for two projects spearheaded by the previous government.
P&D also sanctioned funds for the Punjab Information Technology Board’s e-Rozgaar project.
