Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) chaired by Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan has approved funds for the Kotli Sattian cable car and two other major development projects in Murree, as reported on August 29.

As per details, the total funding allocated for these projects amounts to PKR 1.48 billion. The approved projects include the Provision of a Stand-By Pumping Water Supply Scheme in Murree, with a budget of PKR 717.387 million, and the Rehabilitation of the Donga Gali Water Supply Scheme, which has been allocated PKR 766.733 million. The Feasibility Study for the Kotli Sattian Chairlift/Cable Car System has been allocated PKR 1 million. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masoud Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and heads of relevant departments. These initiatives are set to significantly boost the infrastructure and tourism potential of the Murree region, addressing both immediate and long-term development needs.
