Swat: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has approved funds worth PKR 5 billion for the construction of a road to link Kalam and Kumrat valleys, according to a news report published on January 21.

This information was revealed by Swat Deputy Commissioner Junaid Khan during a press briefing. He added that a 113-kilometre-long road is being developed to link Kalam and Kumrat valley to ensure that more national and international tourist visit the place.

He expressed hope that the new road project will also facilitate people residing in both districts by improving accessibility. He also revealed that a snow jeep rally was recently held in Swat – where two dozens of drivers participated. He invited all media, social media and public relation professionals to explore the tourism potential of Pakistan and promote soft image of the country.
