Mansehra: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has announced PKR 10 billion funds for flood-affectees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and assured that the stranded people will be rescued and shifted to safe places, according to news published in the leading newspaper on September 1.

During the visit, the premier talked to the flood-hit people and reassured them the government will put in all their efforts to help them. He went on to say that all the available resources are being used to provide relief to the flood-hit areas.
Moreover, the PM lauded the efforts of the international community and the United Nations (UN) for their support. He mentioned that the countries including Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, America, Britain, China, and Iran have vowed to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by the calamity.

The premier revealed that the government is providing food, tents, and other essential items to the affected families across the country. He directed the relevant authorities to distribute relief goods to the families in a transparent manner.
