Dera Ghazi Khan: Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Waqas Rasheed has announced the allocation of PKR 310 million to establish tourist resorts in the Koh-e-Suleman tehsil, a news source reported. He further revealed that the directives in this regard came directly from Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar.

The commissioner shared this information while speaking to the media during his visit to inspect a building made for the purpose of promoting tourism in the city. The general manager for the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab accompanied him during this trip.
In his address, Rasheed also mentioned that the CM is taking astute measures to promote tourism in the province. It is for this purpose that he has identified various mountains within the Koh-e-Suleman tehsil where tourist resorts are being developed.

The commissioner believed that by providing facilities for the local and international tourists, the government will help increase employment opportunities for the regional population. He added that the project site will be constantly monitored during the construction phase to ensure that only good quality materials are being used.
