Mansehra: The Mansehra tehsil council has requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government to cancel the PKR 220 million contract pertaining to the construction of Jinnah Plaza over alleged irregularities, a news source reported.

Tehsil Councillor Raja Ayaz said that they had previously detected some anomalies in the Jinnah Plaza contract. He added that the council has requested the authorities concerned to issue fresh tenders.
Tehsil nazim Umar Farooq informed the meeting that the authorities concerned recently acquired a landfill site for PKR 1 million. He added that the government has ordered equal distribution of PKR 8.5 million surplus funds to councillors for initiating development schemes.

Moreover, the provincial government has sanctioned the release of funds worth PKR 60 million for constructing additional rooms in basic health units in Mansehra.
