Deputy Commissioner Saleh Saeed has directed Assistant Commissioners to monitor and provide facilities for the service. The transport service will be available from 6pm to 7pm. Initially, two coasters have been fully prepared from a fleet of five. The number of coasters will be increased gradually.
A shelter home has also been established for patients’ attendants in Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). The shelter home consists of fifty beds, along with facilities such as bedding, quilts, and three meals per day. The attendants can stay in the shelter home all day long.
The PIC shelter home is a follow-up on the order issued by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid. Other hospitals will soon have similar shelter homes, so attendants don’t have to suffer in severe winters.
