Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Wednesday urged the Sindh government to provide quality infrastructural facilities for the proposed SEZs’ development within the province, a new source reported.

FPCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar and Vice President Sheikh Sultan Rehman highlighted that the provincial government needed to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure for the two proposed SEZs in Sindh. They added that this would help attract potential investors.
The two officials extended their appreciation to the Sindh Chief Minister (CM) for his help in the development of SEZs in the province. They opined that these venues would contribute to the domestic demand and enhance exports within the services and agro foods sector.

The FPCCI officials said that they had always believed that increasing the number of SEZs would lead to the development of new industries and help in overcoming the issue of unemployment. They also lauded the establishment of the Bholari SEZ, which is Pakistan’s first private sector SEZ located in Thatta along the M-9 Motorway.
