Haripur: The district council has approved a four-year (2018-2022) integrated district development plan for Haripur – a news source reported.
Asif Ali Jaah, member district council and focal person for the said programme, expressed his views on the matter.
Sharing the details, he said that the plan is geared towards medium-term development, and has been prepared in consultation with the government and local community representatives.

He said that all 180 village and neighbourhood councils, as well as three tehsil councils and a district council, gave their suggestions with regard to the initiative.
GIZ, a German development agency, has collaborated with the Haripur district government on the project. To facilitate this end, GIZ recently organised workshops.
The proposed initiative falls in line with the requirements and mandate of the three tiers of the local government system.
