Islamabad: To make Gwadar a low-carbon emission city, the Government of Pakistan has decided to launch a project to install four thousand solar panels in the port city, reported a news source. The project will be part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), for which details will be finalised soon between the two cities.
The decision has been taken to save Gwadar from climate change that may arise from the establishment of many industries in the future and of course to meet the energy and power-supply related needs of the city.
Under this project, 4,000 solar panels will be installed in its first phase.
