Alipur Chatha: Foundations have been laid for a patrolling check post in Alipur Chatha’s mouza Bacha Chatha, according to a news report. Additional Inspector General (AIG) Punjab was the chief guest on the occasion. The land for check post was gifted by local landlord Haji Muhammad Aslam Tarar.
The AIG said that crimes have been reduced significantly due to the establishment of patrolling check posts. The police patrol system began in 2004 and now 352 check posts are working in Punjab. Moreover, the policemen stationed at the check posts have been given physical and scientific training under the army.
