As part of its budget announcement for the (fiscal year) FY2019-20, the provincial government recently allocated funds worth PKR 40 billion and PKR 70 billion for the RRR and Leh Expressway projects, respectively.
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Arif Abbasi will reportedly brief Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan about the two projects next week. Abbasi stated that the civic agency has prepared its recommendations for completing the RRR project on a Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis.
