Gujranwala: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has laid the foundation stone of Ghakhar Sports Arena and that of the project to make Sheikhupura-Gujranwala Road a two-way avenue, reported a news source. The road expansion project is estimated to cost PKR 6 billion.
During his public address in Jinnah Stadium on Saturday, Sharif said that the government has completed projects worth 40 billion in Gujranwala District during the last four years. He also announced the construction of a multi-storey surgical tower in District Headquarter Hospital, a flyover on Alam Chowk, and announced the expansion of motorway interchange road, connecting Gurjanwala with Khanqah Dogran, from 12 feet to 24 feet.
