Sawabi: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan is set to inaugurate the development of Utla Dam in Gadoon Amazai and the Pehur High Level Canal (PHLC) extension project in the Panjpir area today by laying the initiative’s foundation stone, according to news sources.

The ruling party already arranged two worker conventions and numerous corner meetings leading to a public meeting, addressed by the chief minister in Panjpir. The main convention was arranged at National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar’s residence, and the other in Tordher area with Advisor to Chief Minister on Industry Abdul Karim as the guest of honour, who expressed hope that the PHLC extension would trigger a green revolution in the region by irrigating a thousand acres of arid land.

The district president said that the work on the Kundal Dam project was complete, while the construction of the Bada Dam was in progress. He lauded the government for successfully executing several development projects and working on the issues of gas provision and electricity transmission in the area.
