Lahore: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is expected to lay the foundation stone of the Ravi Riverfront project during his visit to the city today (Friday), a news source reported. The project comprises the construction of a new urban city along River Ravi.

With regard to the development of the Ravi Riverfront project, the Punjab government is all set to revive an old urban development project. According to the details revealed, the area spans across hundreds of acres and the project would feature residential and commercial zones, along with a central business district.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sought to acquire 99,000 acres of land to develop the project. As per sources, the authority has already started work on the project following the instruction of the PM.

During his visit to the city, PM Khan would also conduct meetings with Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
