Narowal: The federal government has commenced construction work at Central Highway project in Shakargarh Tehsil in the Narowal district, according to news published on May 23. The project spans several villages including ‘Jassar Garrison to Sialkot Cantt’ and foundation stone for Central Highway project was laid recently.

The 70-kilometre-long road will be completed within three years. The project will improve mobility and decrease travel time for the locals. The estimated cost of the Central Highway project is PKR 70 billion. It was mentioned that it will be a significant investment in the infrastructure of the region.
